Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actor, is known for her roles in Beta, Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun ..!'. She started her career in 1980s and gained acclaim for her performance in the film "Tezaab", in which she co-starred with Anil Kapoor, a veteran actor. In the film 'Dil she was a part of the cast with Aamir Khan. She was raised in Mumbai by an upper-middle class family. From a young age she started to study dance. She began acting as a youngster and was a struggle for a few years as most of her films at first were failures. Then she found success and went on to become one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film industry. She stopped her career after her marriage and then returned to the entertainment industry. Dixit was also an integral part in the film 'Gulaab Gang,' which focused on the struggles of women from India. Dixit is nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she received eight. She also received the Padma Shri (the fourth highest civilian award in India). Her social work is also something to be proud of.
