Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actress and musician. She started by releasing humorous, cleverly written rap songs that addressed questions of racial identity as well as sexual orientation. Later, she broadened her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was via the trumpet. Alongside classical music and jazz, Nora Lum began studying hip-hop in her teens. At college, she was studying journalism and women's studies. In addition, she spent an hour studying Mandarin in Beijing. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until after she completed her degree. My Vag, her My Vag song, My Vag which was her reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick, became a popular viral sensation on the Internet and eventually appeared on her debut LP Yellow Ranger. It also included other popular hits, including the body positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The final track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide, which was published in 2015. After a successful career as a singer and songwriter, she chose to assume the role of an actor. She's appeared in movies such as Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. Her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
